Through the power of volunteer advocacy, Carroll County CASA works to ensure that all victims of child abuse and neglect are given a chance to thrive in a safe, permanent home. CASA's trained and supervised volunteers provide an independent voice for children, one child at a time, by speaking for their best interests in the family court system.
CASA volunteers are everyday people with a passion for helping children. Our volunteers are appointed by judges and trained to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children. Volunteers stay involved with each child until that child is placed in a safe, permanent home. For many of these children, the CASA volunteer is the one constant adult presence in their lives.
We currently have 96 kids being served by 62 CASA volunteers. There are still 115 children that need trained advocates to speak up for them in court. Each year, Carroll County Department of Family and Children’s Services receives over 1,100 reports of abuse and neglect in our community. Could you stand up for an abused or neglected child?
